Time and water
April 07, 2011The time changes and then it changes everything with it. Living and dead. We know the time when offering water to a thirsty passerby was a sacred act, the time when downtrodden were not allowed to touch the water, when we started paying tax for it and the time when we got the water turning on the tap.
It's still the same water, in the pot on those swaying hips on snaky roads in villages and in the bottle in the fair hands of a jean clad nubile; man changed colors.
I buy bottled water, that's healthy and hygienic, my well wishers say. westerners taught and they followed. I just listened. It doesn't matter which sewage water it is, I buy it as long as it is bottled. Just to make sure it's from the best sewage, I buy the costliest of them all.
