God is in the details you overlook

I met Gunjan in the valleys of Kaumudi … the picturesque lush green hilly expanse…distant from all the man made miracles…no machines….no noise…no towering edifices...no contamination. It was out and out natural, except for the modest tickling of clocks….so much so that I could not restrict myself but extend my stay in the green hills of Kaumudi.

There I would stuff charcoal, canvas and colors in the sack, and head to scenic place to capture it on the canvas. There I met Gunajan, a savvy young girl with great intelligence. She had lost her parents and was staying with her grandfather in a small hut in Kaumudi. Her grandfather is a wise man who has seen the world and experienced all stages of life. Three of us talked endlessly on different topics. On one such discussion over dinner on full moon, our topic strayed towards God.

Her Grandfather said an artist is a creator…he gives birth to an art…and when an art is created for the sake of creation, which is very rare, it takes artist to above humans. I just laughed.

Granddaughter added, mother gives birth to a new life....a new generation… She is the source of evolution and life revolves around her…with her heart so much in abundance with love..She is next to God…and I can say this because my mother is already with God.

I totally agreed to them. An artist with purest creations and a mother off course are above everybody…but, where did the God come in to picture?

Old man sensed my atheism and smiled. It's a full moon …see the most beautiful moon in the sky…see those clouds with silver linings…. shiny hills in the moonlight…fragrance of the flowers…charm of fireflies….A mother and an artist, who you agreed to be above all….but who you think should have created all this…the almighty creator…what is in the name….don’t call it a God…call whatever you want...but do not deny him, for these creations must have been created by somebody.
