Why me?
June 14, 2011A cute little larva very excited about life turned into a slimy maggot. Very disappointed by this he hated the beautiful birds flying high in the sky, dancing peacocks, snakes with charming skin and flowers with colorful petals. He hated everything, and even God for giving him such a miserable life. But he continued his life living on the tender leaves of plants, cursing God everyday and hating the neighborhood.
One night, when he was all alone, filled with melancholy, he decided to end his life and asked God 'why me?' God appeared and asked Maggot to form a cocoon around him. Maggot feared about death and said, ''God, you have not been kind to me to give such a miserable life. I can’t fly, I can’t run, I can’t sing and I am so ugly. Now you want to end my life too?" To this God made no reply. Thinking if God doesn't help him, he must die and so Maggot started forming a cocoon.
Days passed until one morning when Maggot woke up and to his surprise found himself alive. It was a beautiful morning. Birds were chirping, sky was clear, breeze was cool and flowers were blooming. Enchanted by all this he broke the cocoon and came out. He gave many thanks to God for keeping a Maggot like him alive.
He thought he was in the new world. He felt lighter and he felt sky is calling him and flowers are waiting for him. He started running and to his surprise he could run faster. Then came the bigger moment when he found that he has most beautiful wings. Wings more charming than the most beautiful bird he had seen, in a sheer ecstasy he jumped in the sky. He could fly, and he started flying everywhere he wanted in madness.
After a while, it stopped on a lovely flower he always fantasized and prayed, "God, forgive me for all that I have said about you."

When I was kid, I used to catch and whisper my wishes to a butterfly.
Everybody said it works, I did not know the reason why?
Now I realize that butterfly has its wishes come true to fly.
And it will keep my wishes secret and convey it to God in the sky!
