The power of Gentleness!

August 08, 2011

There is a dream place from my childhood - Lonar, where I've spent most of my sunny days. It’s one of the tourist’s attractions for its huge size crater, a salty lake with lush green surroundings. It’s also a second largest crater in the world created due to meteoric impact.

There down the surrounding hills of crater, few water streams flows on the solid meteoric rocks. These currents have made the rocks look very beautiful and perfectly sculpted. One can spend hours just looking at these rocks and imagine different shapes and be enthralled by the power of nature.

If you are a passerby, you will hear the music of water; you will smell the fragrance of flowers and enjoy the dangling colors of butterflies in the lush green surroundings.

If you go closure you will see the dance of water on the beautiful rocks, rocks with smooth curves, with sharp bends with heaps of colorful pebbles. And this all in abundance.

Hammering did not create these beautiful rocks, But they were sculpted by the gentleness and softness of the water.

Hammering and force can destroy things, but gentleness and softness can make it beautiful, cheerful and alive. It’s good to be gentle!

How beautiful is gentleness, and its face,
So easy, and so sweet it is; it’s a grace,
Like a April sunshine, or the mid summer rain,
Smoothing out the tangled knots of pain.
